Warning about the story: This story involves Yaoi, and per my usual advice; if you have no idea what that means — minimize this window, open Wikipedia and look it up. After you figure out what it is and don’t feel the slightest tinge of nausea, by all means – read on.
Warning about the characters: Except for certain implied scenes, there are no explicit sexual scenarios. Just uncharacteristically dramatic occurrences between two 20-something males.
Warning about the author’s style: This was written when I was only 15 years old. I know: I can’t believe I started delving into Yaoi even before my sweet 16. Although I think nowadays a lot of minors are actually writing Yaoi with graphic sex scenes. So what makes me a li’l different? Perhaps 5 things: 1) I live in an Asian country known for its deeply rooted Catholic beliefs, hence the obvious persecution of any relationship that doesn’t involve a man and a woman; 2) It was 1999 — I don’t think the youth back then are as wild as those nowadays; 3) I’m actually straight; 4) I am an only child reared by ultra conservative parents; and 5) I was studying in a Catholic school; the same school that produced the newspaper crazy enough to make me its Features Editor on its pilot run, where this story made its public debut (I suppose much to the horror of its student body, faculty and congregation). Good times, good times. That said, I’m not going to change anything except perhaps tweak the grammar a li’l bit. So if it doesn’t satisfy your critical eye, please be lenient as this was written by an upstart 15 year old.
Disclaimer: I own everything about the story, except for the bits from Barbara Streisand’s song: those are owned by the artist, the song writer and her record label.
